The Founders in their years of research carried out studies as to the suitability of places like Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Nauru and Bali before settling on Sri Lanka.

The reason for Sri Lanka to be last on the list was simply the distance from Australia. With the insight of wisdom, it should have been the first place to consider.

CLIMATE: For prawns, the climate is ideal. Warm tropical weather and away from the major centres with clean fresh ocean water. There are wet and dry seasons but an absence of cyclones, although there is monsoonal rain. The production hall has been designed to cater for these events.

WORKFORCE: There is a plentiful availably of both skilled and semi-skilled workers plus aquaculture professional graduates.
